What is XWin32?

FastX displays your remote Linux desktops faster than regular X Windows emulator, especially over Internet connections. It is an easy-to-use client-server based X11 emulator. FastX offers productive user experience over long distance and low bandwidth connections. FastX connections are persistent, you can reconnect to your session after a network failure or unplanned reboot of your workstation. Users can also suspend their sessions, disconnect their PC and resume the session at a later time from any device.
X-Win32 is a program that allows a user to use X_Windowing in a Windows environment.

How do I get it?
Faculty & Staff: Sign in to the SDSU ServiceNow Service Portal with your SDSUid to submit the ServiceNow Software request form and request XWin32.
Students: Students may download XWin32 with valid SDSUid crendentials.
