Research Cybersecurity

SDSU Research Cybersecurity supports researchers in protecting sensitive and controlled research information while meeting federal and sponsor cybersecurity requirements. The service provides guidance on security standards such as NIST 800-171, HIPAA, and requirements for handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). Researchers can use these resources to understand cybersecurity obligations, prepare for required security assessments, and ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for federally funded and other sensitive research projects.
