[DRAFT] Artificial Intelligence

We offer the resources and training necessary for students, faculty, and staff to utilize AI in their academic, research, and daily endeavors, both creatively and ethically.
ChatGPT Logo

OpenAI's ChatGPT Edu Agreement is tailored specifically for the California State University (CSU) system, providing advanced AI capabilities for all employees and students. It offers the ability to build custom GPTs for sharing within campus workspaces, as well as the needed privacy and data protection, and other enterprise security such as single sign-on (SSO), and SCIM integration.

Microsoft Copilot Logo

Microsoft Copilot provides access to advanced generative AI with text, voice, and image capabilities and is available to SDSU students, faculty, and staff. SDSU's Microsoft licensing includes Copilot commercial data protection. Commercial data protection ensures user and organizational data are protected.

Google Gemini Logo

Google Gemini is a generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) assistant that uses machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) to provide humanlike responses to text, image, and audio prompts. SDSU’s Google Gemini licensing includes added data protection.

Google Notebook LM

NotebookLM is an AI-powered collaborator that helps you do your best thinking. After uploading your documents, NotebookLM becomes an instant expert in those sources so you can read, take notes, and collaborate with it to refine and organize your ideas.

Adobe Firefly is available to SDSU through its Adobe Creative Cloud subscription. Firefly provides generative AI features across Adobe's creative apps. With the Adobe Firefly web app, you can create AI-generated images based on your own prompts.

SDSU Academic Applications of AI Micro-Credential Badge

SDSU’s Academic Applications of AI Micro-Credential prepares you to apply generative AI technology efficiently, effectively, and ethically to level up learning in the classes you teach.

All SDSU students, faculty, and staff are eligible to self-enroll in the Academic Applications of AI Micro-credential course.

The Academic Applications of AI (AAAI) Micro-Credential is now available to all learners through SDSU Global Campus and members of the CSU community.

Red circular logo with brain outline, circuitry, and a mission-style building. Text: “SDSU GPT.”

SDSU GPT is a Generative AI tool currently being piloted across multiple campus areas in collaboration with the IT Division. This tool is offered in partnership with UC San Diego and the Equitable AI Alliance, utilizing Meta’s Llama 3.3 large language model to power its capabilities.

Designed to enhance the GenAI experience, SDSU GPT indexes the latest SDSU data, ensuring users have access to up-to-date information. To organize and secure this data, the tool employs assistants with role-based access, allowing authorized users to interact with the data efficiently and securely.
