How Do I Get It?
The CSU Chancellor’s Office has funded a CSU-wide subscription to ChatGPT, making access free for all SDSU individuals and departments through the standard web-based interface (www.chatgpt.com). This provides convenient and cost-free access to AI-powered chat capabilities for teaching, research, and administrative use.
However, usage involving API calls (e.g., integrating ChatGPT into applications, websites, or lab workflows) is not covered by the CSU subscription. Any API usage will incur additional costs. Labs and departments interested in using the API can coordinate with SDSU’s IT Division to set up access and establish a cost recovery arrangement.
To get access, you can log in using your SDSU SSO on the ChatGPT website. Please go to the following website to learn more.
