What is NAIRR?
NAIRR (National AI Research Resource) is a federally supported initiative that connects U.S. researchers and educators with the computational, data, and training resources needed to advance AI research and research that employs AI. Developed through a collaboration of federal agencies and partner organizations, NAIRR aims to broaden equitable access to state-of-the-art AI tools, datasets, and infrastructure across academic, government, and industry sectors. At San Diego State University, faculty, staff, and students can apply for compute allocations, API credits, and cloud credits to support AI-driven research and innovation.

How Do I Get It?
The National AI Research Resource (NAIRR) provides free access to advanced computing resources, datasets, and tools to support artificial intelligence (AI) research and applications. While the use of NAIRR resources is free, researchers must apply for allocations by submitting a proposal. Proposals should include an estimate of required resources and justify their use. Allocations may include compute time, API credits, and cloud credits.
To gain access to NAIRR (National Artificial Intelligence Research Resource) computational resources, you must apply for a NAIRR grant. Access is granted based on the successful approval of your proposal.
For more information on the application process and eligibility requirements, please visit the official NAIRR website and FAQ.
For help, please contact NAIRR directly and attend their office hours. You may also submit a ticket.
