What is Gemini?
Google Gemini is a generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) assistant that uses machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) to provide humanlike responses to text, image, and audio prompts. It can perform various tasks, including answering questions, summarizing text, writing code, translating, and creating images. Gemini can also help with productivity and creativity, such as brainstorming, learning, and finding information.

How Do I Get It?
SDSU's Google Workspace for Education licensing grants the SDSU community access to the free version of Google Gemini with added data protection. For more information about Google Gemini usage at SDSU please review the Google Gemini Knowledge Base (KB Article) on ServiceNow.
Access to Gemini should be enabled automatically if you are eligible. For additional help, please select Submit a Support Ticket below and navigate to Service Portal > Request a Service > Research > Fill out Research Cyberinfrastructure Consultation page.
