What is Servers, Laptops, and Desktops?
SDSU IT can assist faculty with acquiring laptops, desktops, and/or servers for research purposes by providing quotes, coordinating purchasing and receiving, configuring the device with the appropriate security profile (Intune, Jamf, CIS-CAT), setting up user accounts, and granting administrative rights if approved. We can also assist with setting up VLANs and firewall rules necessary for your research project. This process does not include backups, advanced software configuration, or hardware repairs.

How Do I Get It?
To start the process, please request a hardware quote on ServiceNow. The service provided is at no cost to faculty. Faculty must procure the funds to purchase their own hardware.
